4. Advocate for the child’s best interest: The GAL attends court hearings and may present evidence or arguments to determine what is in the best interest of the child.
5. Monitoring Compliance: In some cases, the GAL may be responsible for monitoring the implementation of court orders or agreements to ensure that the individual’s best interests are being met. They may periodically assess the situation and report any concerns or violations to the court.
